For the past yr I've been compiling a checklist of model teach shops for my design railroading website. These retailers all look like a lot of fun to go to, but what are the most popular? Here is a checklist for the states of Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey. So, there are lots of great design railroading shops from all more than Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey but obviously New Jersey dominated the list with eigth in the top 10. Maryland experienced two inthe ten, and Just Trains in Delaware just missed out. Be aware that this checklist was for the teach stores much more than their on-line web stores. When in Delaware, Maryland, or New Jersey be sure to go to some of the excellent railroading museums such as Harrington Museum and Railroad Museum in Harrington, Delaware Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland Brunswick Railroad Museum in Brunswick, Maryland Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum in Hagerstown, Maryland Huntington Railroad Museum in Bowie, Maryland New Jersey Museum of Transportation in Wall, New Jersey Whippany Railway Museum in Whippany, New Jersey and South Jersey Railroad Museum in Tuckahoe, New Jersey. I compiled this checklist by looking for the pastime retailers listed on a quantity of lookup engines and ranking them by the quantity of web webpages, discussion forums, pictures, videos, and so on that are accessible online. I further screened this list to consist of only pages that mentioned design railroading.
